I played racquetball yesterday with Patrick and my dad and walked a trail today with my parents and brother. My dad and I are going to try to play racquetball again one more time before next week. Also in one week is the next support chat that I am holding. Remember the room is located at http://bariatric.oli.us/ and you can like the Weight Loss Surgery Support Chat page on Facebook for reminders. The chats begin at 8 pm eastern standard time. We usually run until 9pm, people are welcome to stop in at anytime and leave at anytime. It’s very informal!
Yesterday was the first day in almost five years that I have been completely medication free! I had been slowing going off my last anti-depressant for the last 45 days. I went off all the other things over the summer. This was a big event for me! I am happy to report on day two of being medication free that I am doing great! For so long I have been medication for depression and anxiety, the past five years I have been on medication non stop. Since I was 18, almost 12 years ago I have been off and on all different types of medication for depression and anxiety. I honestly thought that I would have to rely on this medication for the rest of my life. In the summer of 2011 when my whole outlook on life changed I knew that it would be eventually possible to live without it. Since that summer I have slowly transforming myself. This is another new beginning for me. One door has closed and I am slowly walking through the open door in front of me.
